Pair of old cottages, opposite Smithy
II
2 cottages. C17 with C19 alterations and addition. Originally
mud and stud, now underbuilt in brick with pantile roof to right
hand half, to left half hipped corrugated iron roof, presumably
over thatch. Off centre axial stack. Probably originally a
single unit with later 2 bay extension to right. 5 bay front
single storey with garret, dentillated eaves course to left side.
To left a planked door flanked by single glazing bar sashes. To
right a second planked door with to left a fixed glazing bar
light. All openings with segmental brick heads.
