II
Methodist Chapel. 1892. Brick with ashlar dressings, slate roof with raised stone coped gables, having crockets at the base and Gothic finials. Nave and chancel plan with 2 side rooms, porch. Street elevation has 2 ashlar decorative bands and in the gable a panel with recessed cinquefoil, plinth and angle buttresses. Central 3 light window in pointed arch with cusped trefoil heads, central transom and cinquefoil in the head. Porch to right with stone coped gable having kneelers and pointed arched entrance. Inside is a fine terrazzo floor to the nave with decorative borders and lozenges in mosaic. 4 bay roof over nave with curved braces and king posts, curved arched braces on corbels with pierced decoration in the spandrels. 2 side rooms have C19 iron fireplaces with moulded surrounds.
