PARISH OF BEELEY DEVONSHIRE SQUARE SK 26 NE 5/38 (North Side) Post Office and Adjoining Cottage to West GV II Post Office and cottage. C18, altered C19. Coursed squared gritstone with gritstone dressings. Westmorland slate roof with two ashlar ridge stacks. Two storeys. South elevation of four bays. The post office has a C19 doorway and 2-light casement under continuous lintel. To the left a C19 shop windows. Cottage to the left has a 2-light square section flush mullion window and a doorway with massive lintel and quoins. Three 2-light square section flush mullion windows above. Post Office continues around the corner to the right with a 2-light casement window to each floor, the upper one with square section flush stone surround. Included for group value only.
