TF 08 NW NORMANBY BY SPITAL MILL LANE
6/31 Manor House (Formally listed as 31.1.52 II Manor Farmhouse)
House. Late C17 with early C19 and minor C20 alterations. Coursed limestone rubble with brick dressings and ashlar quoins, pantile roof with stone coped gables and kneelers, 2 brick gable stacks, L-plan. 2 storey 3 bay front with dog tooth eaves course, central half glazed door covered by C20 brick gabled porch with lead roof, flanked by single C19 plain sashes. To the 1st floor are 3 similar windows. All the windows have segmental brick heads with emphasised keystones. To left is a single storey C20 2 bay extension in coursed limestone rubble with pantile roof. Interior has one late C17 moulded beam in parlour, chamfered beam with ogee stop in chamber over and a butt purlin oak roof. In the 2 bedrooms are early C19 bath grates in moulded wooden surrounds.
