WHITEHALL LANE 1. 5005 Slade Green Large barn at Howbury Farm (formerly listed as Barn, Howbury) TQ 57 NW 3/7 20.5.52 Howbury) II 2. First half C17 or earlier. Red brick, English bond. Weatherboarded gable ends. Two projecting wagon entrances on south side. Long loop light in each bay; 2 at each end. Plinth with stone coping. Renewed roof of slate. Timber, arch-braced, roof trusses, with 3 struts supporting collars, which in turn support further pair of struts.
