LONG WHATTON CLEMENTS GATE SK 4424-4524 (Diseworth) 12/169 - No 20 II
House. C17, with attached C18 - early C19 former outbuilding. All refurbished and extended 1970s-80s. Timber frame with diagonal braces, the front with C19-C20 brick infill, the left gable with rendered infill. Rubble stone base, C20 tiled roof, C19 brick chimney to rear left corner, C20 brick chimney to right. 2 storeys and attic; 2 bays. Left bay is blind to front but has C20 barred wooden casement and brick porch to left gable end. Right bay has C20 rectangular bay window to ground floor, 3-light horizontal sash above, and C20 barred wooden window in blocked doorway to left. To right is former outbuilding, built of brick on stone base and with C20 tiled roof. This part has blocked doorway to front with segmental head, and carved terracotta panel above with foliage scrolls and blank shield. C20 extensions to rear.
