2. Circa 1932. Sir Giles Gilbert Scott. Cruciform church in brown brick with brown stone dressings and russet tiling. Aisleless nave with short north and south transepts and chancel. Decorated Gothic style with battlemented octagonal tower at crossing with pyramidal roof dormer in alternate faces. Tapering faces to corners of tower give appearance of added strength. Well shouldered buttresses. North and south porches, vestry south side with tower staircase turret at south-east corner. Impressive plain rendered interior arched at crossing and west end. Delicately wrought stone reredos with central crucifix and canopywork above. Alabaster font at west end.
