TOOTING HIGH STREET SW17
No 101
II
2.
A terrace house of the first third of the 18th Century. Three-storeys high and
4-bays wide, the pier between the 2 left-hand bays narrower than the others. It
is of yellow stocks with stucco dressings, the sashes set in gauged, cambered
arches.
On the ground floor the entrance bay, now stuccoed and without its porch, has a
cambered arch door surround, the square fanlight within being of about 1820.
The string course above the ground floor is stuccoed.
On the first floor the windows have been dropped and sashes of the original
height replaced at the lower level, the space opened between arch and sash head
being blocked.
The second floor appears to have been added as part of the same alteration and
finished with a stuccoed frieze, cornice and blocking course.
The adjacent houses seem to have been built as part of the same row.
