HIGH STREET 1. 4430 (South Side) CARSHALTON Nos 16 to 20 (even) TQ 2864 SW 23/84 II GV 2. Low wide wing to street probably of C17 or earlier timber-framed construction; brick front; No 16 stuccoed. Steep plain tile gabled roof. East return weather- boarded. No 16 has eaves band; paired sash on 1st floor; 6-light projecting shop front with central doorway; segmental head to each light; fascia and cornice. 2 rear extensions to No 16 with hipped plain tile roofs; east one with clapboard cladding, western one with brick cladding; sash window in south end of each. Nos 18 and 20 with 3 boxed 2-light casement dormers; on 1st floor, 3 splayed 3-light bay windows [sashes]; dentil eaves cornice continuous across bay windows. Plate glass shop front. Carriageway through at left hand end.
Nos 12 to 20 (even) form a group with Nos 3 to 7 (odd) High Street (North Side).
