TRINITY SQUARE EC3 (east side)

Early C19 facade. Brick with stuccoed ground floor. Roof not visible. Four storeys with attic dormers and basements. Top storey probably; later extension above modillion cornice. Three windows with gauged flat headed arches. First floor has centre window with shouldered architrave with cornice above. Ground floor has stucco band below first floor windows with small cornice band above keystones and at impost level. Round headed windows with triple keystones. All sash windows most with glazing bars. Round headed doorway with moulded architrave. Panelled side pilasters above which larger consoles with ornamental stops support a flat pediment with keystone. Tympanum has low relief moulding. Ground floor has a plaque bearing a bas relief portrait of Lord Wakefield Commemorative plaque below. Area has wrought iron railings with urn finials.
The Roman Wall, the Merchant Navy Memorial, First World War section with the Port of London Authority Building and Lamps, Trinity House, Railings & Forecourt and Nos 41 and 42 form a group.
