TQ 2580 NE CITY OF WESTMINSTER PALACE COURT, W2 63/24 (east side) 5.2.70 No 2 GV II Terraced house. 1891. Flockhart. Red brick, some carved. 3 storeys, attic-mansard and basement. Irregular composition of 4 main bays to Palace Court. Full height octagonal turret to left mainly blind; projecting polygonal oriel to right hand corner, widening to first and second storeys. Projecting entrance to left in double moulded archway, with cut brick parapet over. Ground floor oriel with ogeed lead roof to second bay from right. Polygonal portal to left side of upper floor, with applied half column and copper ogee dome. Windows mainly square headed but central second floor window segmental headed. Moulded architraves. 4-bay loggia to third floor with moulded segmental arches and cut brick balustrade to balcony. Cut brick eaves cornice. Steeply pitched roof to eaves. Prominent chimneys. Returns to right and left with similar treatment. Interior not inspected.
