Details
KINGS CLIFFE WEST STREET TL0097 (North side) 12/141 No.20 and attached outbuilding and garage to north GV II House and attached outbuilding and garage. House is early/mid C19, outbuilding and garage is C17 origin. Squared coursed limestone with Collyweston slate and corrugated metal roofs. House originally 2-unit plan with carriage arch to left. 3-window range, at first floor, of C19 style casements set under eaves. 2 similar casements at ground floor under flat stone arches. C20 door, to far right, under similar head. Carriage arch, with segmental head, to left. Central brick stack. Outbuilding and garage is attached to rear by a C20 wall. C17 range, originally linked to No.22 (q.v.), is now one unit plan, 2 storeys, one-window range of 3-light stone mullion windows. Corrugated metal roof. Originally probably domestic use, now a garage and outbuilding for No.22 (q.v.). (RCHM: An Inventory of Architectural Monuments in North Northamptonshire: p102)
