GV II
Terrace houses. Early C18, refronted C19. Brick with stucco dressings; slate roofs. 4 storeys and attic. Each 2 windows wide. Ground floors have later C20 shop fronts but No 51 retains consoles and cornice of Victorian shop. Upper floors have stucco architraves with bracketed cornices on 1st floor, lugged segmental heads on 2nd and arched heads on 3rd. Bold modillion cornice to parapet. Both houses have virtually intact panelled interiors, including panelled entrance passages, box cornices and dog leg stairs with turned balusters.
