Block of shops and chambers. c.1863 by S.S. Teulon. Stucco, slate roofs. A surprising, relatively conventional design in the Italiante idiom for Teulon. 4 storeys. Each front 3 windows wide. Ground floor has continuous range of shop fronts with pilasters carrying entablature-fascia flanked by paired brackets; shop windows and doorways mostly altered. Upper floors have architraved sash or casement windows with keystones, and are articulated by superimposed orders on 1st and 2nd floors with Ionic over Doric. Main dentil cornice, flanked by console-brackets and balustraded parapet. Cast iron balconies to 1st floor windows.
