Town mansion. 1738 by G. Leoni for the 2nd Viscount Shannon, with repairs and alterations by Chambers for the 3rd Viscount Weymouth in 1769 and with mid-C19 alterations to facade. Brown brick, stone dressings, slate roof. 3 storeys, basement and 2 tiers of dormers in mansard. 4 windows wide. Entrance in 2nd bay from right with semi-circular arched doorway with sculpted keystone and patterned fanlight in enclosed stone porch of Ionic columns, pulvinated frieze and bracketed cornice. Sash windows, no glazing bars, recessed in stone architraves, those on 1st floor with consoles and pediments. 1st floor plat band and sill band. Stone cornice below parapet with coping. Wrought iron area railings, returned up steps to porch, with lampholders. Fine interiors retaining elements of 1740s work including large chimney piece in Kent manner, doorcases etc., and Chambers' work; rich stucco work in stair compartment, coffered ceiling, etc.
