Pair of terraced town houses. 1730-31 with c.1792-1800 alterations to front. Brown brick with red brick window dressings, concealed slate roofs. 4 storeys (top floor made a full storey c.1800 and mansard added to No. 13) and basement. Each 3 windows wide. Mirror plans as with Nos. 11 and 12 q.v., with closet wings. Ground floor channelled stucco with adjoining elliptical arched doorways in plain stucco surrounds, containing recessed panelled doors in corner blocked architraves and fanlights. Recessed plate glass sashes under flat gauged red brick arches, central top floor window blind. Shallow cornice moulding finishing off ground floor stuccowork. Parapet with coping. c.1800 wrought iron bowed balconettes to No. 13. Wrought iron area railings with urn finials. No. 13 retains panelled interior of same type as Nos. 11 and 12 q.v. but retaining original staircase balustrade only to upper flights. In No. 14 the panelling is only intact to the passage hall and stairwell, the staircase with cut and carved strings, grouped balusters etc. as in Nos, 11 and 12 q,v. Part of the Craven family's C.18 development of their Brewhouse estate, laid out for them by Flitcroft.
