HASELBECH COTTESBROOKE ROAD SP77NW (West side) 6/43 The Old Rectory
GV II
Rectory now house. Datestone 1768. Squared coursed lias with slate roof. Double depth plan. 2 storeys with attic. West elevation. Twin gables with 2-window range of early C18, 2 storey canted bays with French doors at ground floor. Sash windows at first floor; small attic sashes above. Ashlar gable parapets and kneelers; that to left has carved finial. Brick stacks at ridge. Datestone 1768 in left gable. Reset datestone 1573 to right of right gable. Armorial plaque between windows at first floor. Elevation to left has 2 sashes with glazing bars and mid C19 porch. Interior: Late C18 staircase. Room to left has fine C18 plaster ceiling.
