The Manor House
II
Manor House. Datestone 1664/T. Squared coursed lias and brick with slate roof.
Originally 3-unit plan. 2 storeys, 3-window range. Flanking windows are 5-light
canted bays with stone mullion windows to ground and first floor with leaded
lights. Ribbed door to left of centre has moulded stone surround with 4-centred
head. 3-light stone mullion to right and two 2-light stone mullion windows above
with datestone and armorial tablet between. The centre portion of the facade is
brick indicating remodelling. Hipped and gabled roof has 2 octagonal brick
chimneys at ridge. C19 and C20 extensions to rear. Fire insurance plate to left
bay.
