Chest tomb. c1806. With reeded pilasters and wrought-iron spear-headed railings. Of extra significance since here lies Joanna Baillie, the major literary figure and friend of Walter Scott and who died in 1852. Her LCC commemorative plaque is in Bolton House, Windmill Hill (qv).
