Details
SADDLEWORTH DIGLEE SE 00 NW 4/92 No. 8 and No.10 (Prestbury - Cottage) G.V. II House and cottage. Late C18 and C19. Hammer-dressed watershot stone with graduated stone slate roof. Double- depth 2-bay house with 3 storeys. The 2-storey 2-bay cottage adjoins to right. House has 5 and 3-light windows on the ground floor, 7-light on the first (one of which is blocked) and 7-light on the second floor. All have recessed flat- faced stone mullions. Gable chimney stack. The door with square-cut surround is in the gable. 1, 2 and 3-light windows to gable and rear, the rear also having a first floor taking-in door. The cottage has a C20 porch and a lean-to addition to right.
