MARKET PLACE 1. 5324 (North Side) Moot Hall SP 5762 1/53 4.12.53. II* 2. Mid C18 front of ashlar. Red brick side elevation with channelled stucco ground floor. 3 storeys, tiled roof behind parapet and wide modillioned pediment with clock in tympanum, octagonal wooden cupola above apex carrying wrought iron weather vane. 3 sash windows with glazing bars. Keystones and architrave surrounds on upper storeys. Ground floor continuous entablature, Doric angle pilasters, round arched windows with intersecting arched glazing bars, archivolts, keystones, impost entablatures on pairs of small Doric pilasters resting on continuous sill. Side elevation 1806 with pedimented Doric porch flanking round arched Windows, 3 Windows to each upper floor under flat arches. Modillion cornice.
