Details
1. 5281 HIGH STREET (South Side) SANDGATE No 49 (Providence Inn) TR 2035 SW 8/162 II GV 2. Cl8. 2 storeys weatherboarded. Tiled roof with 2 hipped dormers. Moulded eaves cornice. 2 sashes with verticals only. The ground floor has a C20 3-light canted Georgian style bay and a large square bay containing the doorcase. Some original cobble stones remain in front.
Nos 23 to 39 (odd) form a group with Cottage to rear of No 39, Nos 41 to 65 (odd) including 43A, 45A, 55A and 6lA. (Nos 3l to 37 are buildings of local interest).
