STRETFORD CHESTER ROAD SJ 89 NW (south-east side) (SJ 8095 NW) 3/18 The Great Stone at entrance to Gorse Hill Park (formerly listed with Gorse Hill 20/6/63 Park Archway) G.V. II According to tradition part of a Medieval cross, used later as a plague stone. Boulder-shaped stone with two bowl-shaped sinkings formed in the upper contour.
