SJ 99 NE LONGDENDALE OLD ROAD (north-east side)
4/82 No. 49 and adjoining buildings 1.10.85 G.V. II
House and adjoining cottage and barn. Mid C18 with later additions. Squared rubble (the barn is watershot stone) with slate and graduated stone slate roof. 2 bay double- depth central-entrance house with l-bay cottage to right and C19 barn door to left and barn to rear. Projecting plinth and square-cut stone door surround. Two 4-light recessed flat-faced stone mullion windows to ground and first floor (the latter with 2 mullions removed) and two 3-light flat- faced to second floor. Shaped eaves gutter brackets and 3 chimney stacks. Cottage has two 3-light windows but with mullions removed. The barn door to the left has a segmental keystone arch and shaped voussoirs and a window above with skew lintel and sill.
