Home for old men. 1881-3.A.Waterhouse. Red sandstone ashlar with tile roof. Very large irregular building. 2 main storeys, with attics. Stone mullioned and transomed windows. Tall clustered chimneys. Pointed arched doorways. Round turret with tall pointed conical roof. Chapel with Perpendicular east window of 5 lights with returns of 5 bays with 3-light windows. Timber gabled porch has bay to right with clock under gable with date 1883.
