Includes No 42 Huskisson St. 2 houses. 1830s. Stucco with
slate roof. 3 storeys with attic and basement, 4 x 5 bays.
Ground floor has channelled rustication, 1st floor sill
band; top frieze, cornice and blocking course. 2 central
bays flanked by pilasters. 2 central 1st floor windows have
architraves, friezes and consoled cornices. All windows are
sashed, those above ground floor with glazing bars, 2 blind
windows to end bay, 2-bay attic with panelled pilasters,
cornice and blocking course; flanking scrolls; 2 blind
windows. In 3rd bay the enclosed porch has applied distyle-
in-antis Ionic colonnade, central part of entablature
breaks back. Entrance has architrave. Iron railings to area
and steps have decorative heads. Cornice over ground floor,
1st floor pilasters and frieze and cornice. Iron balconies
to 1st floor windows. Return forms No 42 Huskisson St, 3
storeys, 5 bays, central 3 bays break forward with
rusticated ground floor, central bay breaks further forward,
with angle pilasters and entablature over 1st floor. Central
entrance has consoled cornice. 1st floor iron balconies and
iron area railings.
