Public house. C16. Timber framed, with rendered infilling. Plain tile roof. 4 timber-framed bays. 2 storeys and attic, on stone plinth. Broadly-spaced studding of relatively thin scantling, with two tension braces to left end bay and arch brace to right-central bay on first floor. Two arch braces to ground floor. Gable end jetty to left. Steeply pitched hipped roof. Brick ridge stack to right end of right-central bay. Two flat- roofed two-light dormers. Irregular fenestration of 3 leaded casements; one two-light to left end bay, one three-light to left-central bay and one three- light to right end bay. Boarded door to left end of right-central bay. Red and grey brick lean-to to left gable end, underpinning jetty, with boarded door to front. Single-storey addition to right with applied timber framing and rendered infilling. Interior: only partly inspected. Exposed framing. Brick fireplace with wooden bressumer.
