Details
TR 34 NE RINGWOULD CHURCH LANE (north side) 3/36 Ringwould House 25.7.80 GV II
House. 1813 by Sir John Soane for Reverend John Monins and extended early C19. Buff brick and slate roof with large central stack. Slightly projecting, and rendered, centre, originally with a large porch, now lost. Regular fenestration of 3 glazing bar sashes on first floor, 2 on ground floor with central panelled door with rectangular fanlight and sidelights in pilaster surround. Two recessed wings to left, the first hipped, the second gabled, with 1 glazing bar sash on each floor, and coat of arms relief to centre left. Five bay right return with outline of conservatory, now lost. Interior: panelling and library fittings reported (see D. Stroud, Sir John Soane, 1985; see also BOE Kent II 1983, 434).
