Outbuilding immediately north east of Oldhouse Farmhouse
GV
II
Outbuilding. Probably C18. Framed construction, clad in weatherboarding; clay-tile roof, hipped at ends.
Plan: a very small rectangular outbuilding, original function uncertain, perhaps an implement store.
Exterior: single storey. The only openings are a small door and window in the west end, facing Oldhouse Farmhouse.
Interior: very intact carpentry, the two bay framing to each long wall with straight braces, some renewal of studs on the front (south) wall. Simple common rafter roof, the tiles fixed with wooden pegs.
Most of the farmbuildings at Oldhouse Farmhouse were sold off in the 1930s, the oasts and one barn converted to residential use and another barn moved to the Old Barn Tea House, Stocks Green (q.v.). This small outbuilding remained with the house and is included for group value.
