Lodge to Abbeystead (q.v.), 1887, probably by Douglas. Sandstone rubble with slate roof. Two storeys. Windows rebated and chamfered with mullions.

The south wall, facing the drive, has a projecting wing at the right. This has a five-light window on the ground floor, with the outer lights canted back and the corners of the first floor wall oversailing. The first floor window is of four lights. Under the apex of the gable is a round window. At the left of the facade is a one-light window. To its right is a door with moulded surround and shaped lintel inscribed: '18 S 87'. Coped gables. Chimney at junction of two roof ridges. The west gable wall has its upper storey jettied on stone corbels, a two-light ground-floor window and two similar windows on the first floor at different levels. At the left of the wall is a chimney.
