SD 57 SW BORWICK CAPERWRAY ROAD Capernwray 4/58 Keer Bridge (Aqueduct) (No. 132) 4. 10. 1967 (formerly listed as Aqueduct (intersection of River Keer and Lancaster to Kendal Canal)

Aqueduct carrying the Lancaster Canal, opened in 1797, over the River Keer. Large gritstone blocks. 2 high concave battered walls with a single arch. West side has full-height square piers flanking the arch, which has a segmental string, and two horizontal strings, one beneath the rounded solid parapet. The east side is similar, but with the upper section reconstructed with a flat-topped parapet. Part of this bridge is in Over Kellet Parish, q.v.
