Farmhouse, dated 1691. Coursed sandstone rubble with quoins
(sides and rear rendered), slate roof with copings and kneelers,
a chimney in front of the ridge and another at the right gable.
Double pile 2-bay plan with projecting porch at junction of bays.
Two storeys, almost symmetrical; dripcourse at ground floor window
head level stepped over windows and carried round whole building. Two
storey gabled porch, with kneelers and ball finial on apex, offset
slightly left of centre, has old boarded door with massive lintel,
1st floor window of 3 stepped round-headed lights with hollowed
spandrels, stepped hoodmould: over the centre of this E is a square
date stone with moulded surround, lettered in relief 'R I" at the head
and "16" "91" in the bottom corners, with a rampant beast in the centre
(worn); and in the gable a blocked oval opening. Each side of the porch
at ground floor is a 3-light window with chamfered mullions, and at
1st floor a stepped window similar to that in the porch. Left return
wall has small lean-to towards the rear, a small window beside it,
2 similar windows to 1st floor and to attic, the heads of the latter
crossed by a stone band. Door and various other openings in rear wall.
