WITHNELL SD 62 SW 6/212 Stony Flat Bridge (No.87) - at SD 607 227 GV II

Accommodation bridge over Leeds-Liverpool Canal. 1811-16, Supervising Engineer probably Joseph Priestley. Coursed sandstone. Distorted elliptical portal with rusticated voussoirs and keystones, band, parapet with rounded coping, pilastered ends to curved keepers, sloped deck. Crosses cutting along contour.
