ANGLEZARKE MOOR ROAD SD 62 raw 10/12 Gamekeeper's Cottage at 17.4.67 Siddow Fold (Formerly listed as "Siddow Fold") GV II
Farmhouse, now house, formerly gamekeeper's cottage. Dated 1707 on lintel; enlarged and altered. Sandstone rubble with quoins, rendered and painted white at front, slate roof. Two-bay end-baffle-entry plan with added continuous outshut under catslide roof, 2 storeys, with single-storey game and gun room added at right end. Doorway at left end has chamfered surround and undercut lintel with a panel in the face lettered in relief "17. IN . 07"; right of this a 4-light chamfered mullion window with a hoodmould (3rd mullion is a concrete replacement); buttress in the centre, 3 tie-plates at 1st floor, a horizontal rectangular window to the right and 2 similar window at 1st floor. Addition of less interest. Rear has a door and two 2-light casements. Interior: brick heck with peepwindow; parlour cupboards with handmade hinges; otherwise altered.
