6/237 Waingate Farmhouse - - II
Farmhouse, dated 1755, altered, now house. Coursed sandstone, tiled roof with gable-end chimneys in front of the ridge. Double-depth 2-bay plan (with large lean-to garage now to rear of 2nd bay). Two storeys, almost symmetrical: offset slightly left of centre doorway with moulded lugged architrave, moulded pediment, and above this a decorated datestone lettered in relief T L E 1755 2 windows on each floor, those to left both 3 lights, those to right both 6 lights with a flush king mullion, and all now apparently with painted wooden mullions. Moulded gutter cornice with rainwater head right of centre lettered as datestone. Left return wall has plain doorway, 2 small windows on each floor and an attic window; rear openings of less interest except one 2-light flush mullion window at 1st floor.
