Details

FORTON SD 45 SE 1/88 The Grey House, Jackson - Hill - GV II

House, early C19. Squared sandstone with slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays, with eaves cornice. Windows sashed with glazing bars, plain reveals, and stone sills. Door has 6 raised panels with re-entrant corners, a fanlight with elliptical head, and a stone doorcase with attached Doric columns. Gable chimneys. Towards the rear of the right-hand return wall there is a 2-storey stair projection under a lean-to roof. It has a tall stair window with plain stone surround, round head, and glazing bars.
