8/56 Barn at Worden Hall - GV II
Barn, C18, now meeting hall. Brick with stone plinth and dressings, slate roof. Rectangular plan of 4 bays. Stone quoins; 5 rows of ventilation openings in west gable. Opposed wagon doorways at east end, with stone quoins and shallow segmental heads of stone voussoirs (now glazed). Herringbone pattern brick floor. Kingpost roof trusses with 2 parts of fishbone struts; 3 purlins. Ground floor doorway with wooden lintel on north side of west bay, and a first floor doorway from the second bay to the upper storey of outshut on north side, which has C19 brick walls but contains earlier ceiling beams.
