TARLETON LIVERPOOL OLD ROAD SD 41 NE Sollom 7/57 White Dial Farmhouse - GV II

Farmhouse, now house. C17, altered and probably raised in C18; altered. Brick, now rendered and painted grey, steeply-pitched roof of corrugated asbestos sheet with ridge chimney and gable chimney of brick. Three-bay baffle-entry plan. Two storeys; wall stepped at a low level in 1st 2 bays and higher level in 3rd bay (suggesting alternate rebuilding); doorway in line with ridge chimney at junction of 2nd and 3rd bays, with wooden canopy, 3 windows on each floor, all modern 3-light casements with glazing bars. Interior: housepart in middle bay has inglenook fireplace with ovolo-moulded bressummer, 2 similarly decorated beams; 2 doorways to axially-partitioned 1st bay; 3rd bay said to be older; roof not inspected but may have features of interest.
