BISBROOKE CHURCH LANE SP 89 NE 4/2 Headstone to Nathaniel Clark, in churchyard 1 1/2 m SE of S aisle. GV II

Headstone. 1813. In memory or Nathaniel Clark, carter. Ketton limestone. Large slab with curved top. Carved relief frieze shows a cart being pulled by 4 horses past rustic scenery with gate, fencing, trees and mill. Below is a large oval inscription panel with commemorative verses, the spandrels with carvings of rustic implements. (Illustrated in Country Life, March 7th 1974).
