SK 90 NW HAMBLETON 8/115 Hambleton Manor House 14.6.54 (Formerly listed as GV II "Manor House")
Large house, probably early C17, with C18 and late C19 additions. C17 section is coursed rubble with angle quoins and stone tiled roof. 2 storeys with attic, 2 bays. To left a 3 storey ashlar canted bay window, with mullions and hoodmoulds, corbelled out to support a projecting gable above. To right of this, a projecting porch - C19, based on loggia of Hambleton Old Hall with balustrading and arcading. Above this, a 3-light stone mullioned window. Moulded stone stacks, additional mullioned window in gable end. To right a late C19 addition in old English style, matching in with gable containing 2 storey bow window, rubble to ground floor, stucco above. Projecting stack and a further gable to street front, various mullioned and leaded lights. Projecting to rear, a C18 wing. Ashlar with stone tiled roof, axial and gable end stacks. 3 12-light sashes to 1st floor, modern extension and 16-light sashes to ground floor.
