Stableblock. Mid C19. Coursed rubble stone with quoins and stone dressings
and Collyweston slate roof with moulded stone ridge and end stacks. Stone
coped gables. 1, 1½ and 2½ storeys., irregular composition on U plan,
open to left, entrance in nearer side in 1 storey range. Central rounded
carriageway arch with bull's eye window in gable over. On roof above
this an ashlar belfry tower in Flemish baroque style with rusticated
quoins, dentilled cornice and clock face above with volutes either side.
Over this an octagonal lantern with open keyed arches, bracketed cornice
above and ogee fish-scale roof with lucarnes. To left a 2 storey range
with 2 stone mullion windows and large central dormer with boarded window.
To right a gable with a stone framed window both floors and loophole
above. Within yard 1 and 1 storey ranges: doors with moulded stone frames
and round-arched windows with keystones. 3 2-light dormers.
