Details

OAKTHORPE AND DONISTHORPE ACRESFORD SK 21 SE 3/46 Acresford House (formerly listed with Mill House, now united) 24.11.65 II House of c1800. Red brick, Flemish bond, with brick eaves, painted stone sill band to first floor, mostly flat gauged brick lintels and hipped C20 plain tile roof. 2 symmetrical red brick ridge stacks. Concreted plinth, 2 storeys of 3 windows. 3/3 sashes above 6/6 with panelled shutters, the central ground floor in round headed recess with blank arched head. Round headed doorway to right of this with radiating fanlight. 1 storey gabled extension on left end with 6/6 sash. Right end of 3 windows with central projecting gable having brick dentilled pediment. This projection has tripartite 2/2: 6/6: 2/2 sash below with wooden mullions and cambered brick lintel, and blank doorways either side, and above a round headed window breaking sill band. To left a 6/6 with 3/3 over and to right an 8/8 with 6/6 over breaking sill band. Rear altered and rendered with 2-light casements, C19 and C20 windows, porch and doors.
