SK 31 SE NORMANTON LE HEATH MAIN STREET 5/39 24.11.65 Church of the Holy Trinity
II*
Parish church of early C14 in local style. Grey-green sandstone. West tower with short recessed spire and gargoyles. Nave of 3 bays and north aisle, chancel (no chancel arch), north chapel. Curvilinear decorated window tracery, renewed. Interior has single nave arcade, and C15 timber screen to north chapel (moved from chancel) with panels of foliate tracery. Font probably predates church, and is similar type to that in Ibstock, a ribbed block. Church heavily restored in C19.
