Early C19 stuccoed terrace much altered, Nos 31 to 37 having been entirely rebuilt as one building with front in facimile. Three storeys and attic. Twenty windows (originally two-window houses). Rusticated ground floor, above first and second floor pilasters between windows, paired end pilasters, with moulded bases and capitals, supporting entablature with moulded frieze and cornice, parapet. Ground floor doorways of former No 30 converted to windows, Nos 27 and 29 with rectangular fanlights. Windows in moulded architraves, with cornices, and bracketed cills to first floor. Nos 27 and 29 sashes with glazing bars. No 37- windows all aluminium sashes with horizontal pivot windows to second floor. Slate roofs. No 37 has added mansard roof containing attic. Grade II for group value.

Nos 7 to 29 (odd) and No 37 (Provincial House) form a group.

Nos 1 3 and 5, New Walk Museum, Nos 47 to 58 to 64 (even) New Walk together with Nos 59 to 61 (odd) Princess Road West and No 1 West Street form a group around Museum Square.
