Details
RUTLAND STREET 1. 5304 SK 5904 8/325 No 29 II 2. Dated 1875. Warehouse. Buff-coloured brick with stone dressings. Four storeys. Corner site with curved angle. Rutland Street elevation six windows, Colton Street elevation eight windows. Ground floor and first and second floors flat brick pilasters between window with round heads with keystones over second floor. Ground floor round-arch windows with pointed arch drip-moulds, first floor segmental arch windows with keyblocks, second floor round arch windows. Cornice at first floor cill level. Frieze at second floor level with quatrefoil pierced linked circles. Plain moulded bosses over second floor windows. Narrow third floor windows with shouldered arches. Moulded brick eaves cornice, wide wooden eaves with paired shaped brackets. Slate hipped roof. Curved corner of three windows with round-arch doorway with polished granite pilaster shafts and round arch side-lights, above medallions with carved relief busts.
