OLD FAXTON END SP77SE (East side) 10/173 Dial House
GV II
Faxton End shown on O.S. map as Charles Close House. Datestone 1715 with C19 alterations. Squared coursed lias with corrugated iron roof. 4-unit plan. Single storey with attic. Ground floor of 4-window range, 3 casements with wood lintels and glazing bars and one sash to right has ashlar surround. One dormer with casement at first floor. Steep gabled roof has gable parapets and kneelers. Brick stacks at ridge and end. Right gable has two C19 sashes with ashlar surround with datestone and remains of sundial above. Entrance at rear has plank door. Interior not inspected but probably has open fireplace.
