BEBINGTON CHURCH DRIVE SJ 3384 NE (east side) Port Sunlight 13/55 Church Drive Primary School
G.V. II
School. 1902-3. By Grayson and Ould. Brick with stone dressing, some roughcast, tile roofs. Mostly one storey, irregular plan. 1st bay has low projecting storey with ramped parapet. Windows have gauged brick flat arches and casements, half-hipped gabled 1st floor has Venetian window with small-paned glazing. Entrance has tented copper canopy, entrance to right return. 2nd bay has window with small-paned casement with central round-headed glazing, shaped gable. 3rd bay recessed, similar to 2nd bay, gable abuts low tower with round-headed openings, stone parapet and recessed octagonal turret, balustrade and ogival cupola with weather vane. 4th bay projects, ground floor as 1st bay, with C20 metal casements. End recessed gabled bay. Left return similar, basement has elliptical arcade, balustrade above. Some roof dormers. 1st bay has half- hipped gable. Projecting toilet block of 2 storeys with external stair. Rear has basement arcade; 1st bay has half- octagonal oriel on brackets, central pediment. Projecting toilet block; end bay gabled, half-hipped gable, some bays have shaped gables to dormers. Right return has 2 gabled bays. 7 stacks have Lombard frieze to caps.
