Details
ST PAUL'S SQUARE 1. Hockley B3 5104 No 11 SP 0687 NE 6.5.74 II GV
2. Circa 1780 five bay red brick 3 storey town house on east side of the square, part of same row as Nos 12 to 14. Corner site with Mary Ann Street. The windows and doorways on both fronts was given rendered scroll footed architraves and classical dressings, circa 1880-90. Plinth and sill courses, rebuilt parapet. The outer ground floor windows have pediments, the inner ones flanking doorways, have their cornices linked to the segmental brocken pediment over the latter with festooned frieze and fluted pilasters on pedestals. Louvres to first floor windows of uniform design. Louvres on plain friezes to those on second floor. Three bay return front with similar details. Important corner site.
