WALSALL MB FORGE LANE SK 00 SE 5/38 Barn approximately 10 metres north-east of Little Aston Mill

GV II

Barn. Probably mid-C18, extended to right and eaves raised mid-C19. Brick with tile roof. South-west wall has cart entrance with segmental arch and inserted surround of blue bricks. To the right are breathers in three rows. To the left are two rows of breathers, and the upper courses of brickwork are of a different colour. At the left of the facade are two doorways which have a window to their right with segmental head. Under the eaves is a square pitching door. Interior: the right-hand part has a truss to each side of the cart entrance, the right-hand one with tie-beam and raking struts, the left-hand one with struts between a tie-beam and a collar. The roof over the left-hand part of the barn was not accessible at time of survey, but what appeared to be the foot of a curved principal could be seen through the pitching door.
