Shops. Early to mid-C19. Brick with tile roof. Three storeys, three
bays. No 69, at the left, has a shop front which appears to be original.
It has two bowed windows with glazing bars, and a central doorway. The
shop front of No 70 is C20. On the first floor the left-hand window is
sashed with glazing bars and has a segmental lintel with keystone. The
middle window is blind and has a similar lintel. The right-hand window
is a later C19 tripartite sash with no glazing bars. On the second floor
the outer bays have 6-pane sashes. The middle bay is blind. On the ground
floor the middle bay has a tunnel entrance with elliptical arch. Chimneys
on left-hand gable and to right of middle bay. No 70 included for group
value.
